We are located in Dunsmuir, California, between the volcanic Mount Shasta and the Castle Crags – the eastern edge of one of Earth’s 36 biodiversity hotspots. We are at the headwaters of the mighty Sacramento River, which flows south to the San Francisco Bay. Our region exemplifies the Earth’s wisdom and the human’s ingenuity, as well as the need to bring the water of life and the fire of knowledge into harmony.

Jubilee College is a new two-year school, placing equal weight on study, work, and inner development.
Tuition is free, offered in a spirit of gift, so that graduates can dedicate themselves fully to sharing their gifts in service.
Housing and meals are free, offered in a spirit of reciprocity, so students can work with head, hands and heart to maintain the campus, prepare food, add beauty, and restore salmon habitat.
We are intentionally un-accredited, focused instead on real-world experience and post-graduation apprenticeships.

“Since the Enlightenment, liberal arts education has aimed to equip citizens to be free people in a free society. But it has become too individualistic, preparing students for a ‘real world’ that connects them to an economic and financial system with incentives geared to individual gain. It is all too often materialist, strictly secular, and foreseeing a world as it will not be. Humans are increasingly aware of our interconnected world, and this requires us to develop capacities that are not sufficiently addressed in higher education today. We are on the threshold of what is next.”
