Throughout history, in times of great change, new initiation centers and schools have formed where people gather and inquire together about who we are becoming.
This is such a time and school—a College for remembering how to be human, where we are cultivating the capacities this moment most requires:

Jubilee is a new two-year head-hands-heart College inviting you to un-learn and to create in ways that most light you up, while you support others to do the same.
We put equal weight on study, work, and inner development, because these are the practices through which students learn, together, to become who they are meant to be, and how we prepare to joyfully serve a world in transition.
If a quiet voice is telling you that the typical college experience, rooted in the habits and ideas that perpetuate society’s status quo, might not be for you…
And if you are serious about putting in the intellectual, physical, and inner work that will be required to create the better world you know is possible…

Location
Dunsmuir, California; at the base of Mount Shasta
Campus
83-acre mountain valley with spring-fed creek running through it + a gorgeous classroom building in downtown Dunsmuir, (15-minute bike ride between)
Students & cohort size
28 students starting in 2028. A diverse cohort of 18-24 year olds. Expect a tight-knit peer group for bringing out each other’s gifts and for emergent creativity.
Tuition
Free; Offered in a spirit of gift, so that you might offer your gifts to the world!
Housing/Meals
Free; Reciprocal expectation that you work with head, hands and heart to build and prepare the food, shelter, & beauty aspects of communal living.
Pedagogy & Curriculum
Integration of head/hands/heart; An invitation to unlearn/ decolonize, and to freshly engage in a rigorous way with experiential place-based learning, and knowledge that arises from interdependence, (self as part of the whole), and the cognition of the heart.
Academic Model
Block plan (one immersive venue at a time, 3.5 weeks per block); Each block includes core faculty + rotating real world practitioners as guest faculty. Daily schedule includes study, work, and inner development. Travel for learning journeys.
Intergenerational Wisdom & Imagination
Jubilee College has grown from a learning community of some of the most creative people in the world, many of whom continue to host students, advise as visiting faculty, and offer apprenticeship opportunities.
Intentionally Un-Accredited / Degree-less
Focused on deciding together what needs to be learned, real-life-experience portfolios, and apprenticeship pathways that start now.
Timeline
–Year 1: Unlearning + Travel + Engagement with the big questions of our time + Living in community/practical skills/with land & water, guided by Indigenous knowledge
–Year 2: Following your curiosity/inner light/what interests you most, to create a significant project as a service offering + bringing your gifts to support each other, accompanied by world class mentors & elders.
–Year 2+: Individualized support / Remarkable apprenticeship pathways with experienced mentors from every field.

Known as the “College of Water & Fire”
We are situated between the volcanic Mount Shasta and the Castle Crags – the eastern edge of one of Earth’s 36 biodiversity hotspots. We are at the headwaters of the mighty Sacramento River, a creative, lively water that nourishes one-third of all the fruits, vegetables and nuts grown in North America. This water flows into the ocean through the San Francisco Bay – an economic and creative hub of power globally. Our region viscerally exemplifies the Earth’s wisdom and the human’s ingenuity, and how this moment in time requires us to bring the water of life and the fire of knowledge into harmony.
