PLACE

Jubilee’s campus is on the outskirts of the town of Dunsmuir, California, a small 1600-person community situated at the eastern edge of one of 36 global biodiversity hot-spots.

Nestled in a densely forested valley at the foot of Castle Crags, a Jurassic-period crystalline rock formation that rises dramatically from the forest floor, Dunsmuir sits just south of Mount Shasta, one of the world’s most revered mountains. Our region begins at the headwaters here, and we follow these waters, working with the Winnemem Wintu Tribe on salmon restoration, with farmers along the Sacramento River, and with creative entrepreneurs in the San Francisco Bay where the water meets the ocean.

We are known as the College of Water & Fire because of what can be uniquely learned in this place.

One of the most vital capacities in initiating a new worldview and the cultural transformation we now need is participating in a deeper kind of listening to the living Earth.
